Project Camp - Open Enrollment August 10-15, 2008 - Ages 8-12 - Fees $275 -A new camp based on 4-H curriculum materials and the traditional camping program offered at Millstone 4-H Camp -Campers will choose a 4-H project area such as Entomology (bugs), Eco Adventure -Forests of Fun, Wood Working, Discovering Plants, Electric, Fishing, and others -Regular camp activities including swimming, canoeing, archery, rifle, crafts, nature, and horseback riding will also be a part of this new camp. -Evening programs include campfires, land and water sports, sharing skits and talents, and dance. Target Shooting Sports July 20 - 25, 2008 - Ages 10-16 - Fees: $295 -A new weeklong camp that is centered around the North Carolina 4-H Target Shooting Sports Program. -Participants will apply and practice safety as they are taught how to safely handle, load, and unload a variety of shooting sports equipment. -With plenty of range time to apply lessons learned, receive personalized instruction, and develop confidence on the range. -Participants will explore a variety of informative and educational topics such as hunting ethics and responsibility, wildlife identification, field techniques, orienteering, firearm handling, shooting, and hunting. -Experience trap and skeet shooting, riflery, archery, air pistol, and black powder General Session Resident Camp (Open Enrollment) August 3-8, 2008 - Ages: 8-12 - Fees $295 - Swim, work on a craft, learn about nature, and explore outdoor living skills. - Have fun with horseback riding, canoeing, and archery - Enjoy evening programs with campfires, learning new games and dances, and sharing skits and talents - Make new friends.
