Camp Corral 

New Camp for children ages 8-15 of wounded or disabled military families.  Three sessions offered

Camp Corral is a place where kids are free to be kids, apart from the day-to-day challenges they may face as children of wounded or disabled military families. Camp Corral is a special experience that will create lifetime memories – a full week with friends who can relate, packed with non-stop fun and all the camping can-do’s they love:

• Canoeing and fishing at the camp’s 17-acre lake • Target Sports• Ropes Course • Camp Fire stories • Horseback Riding • Crafts• Swimming • Sleeping cabins

Fur, Fish, and Game Rendezvous                                                                             July 10-15, 2011  - Ages: 11-16 - Fees: $345

This is the premier summer camp experience for youth interested in the out of doors, wildlife, hunting, and fishing.  Campers will have the opportunity to work with  outstanding instructors from NC State University and the North Carolina Wildlife Resources Commission.  Classes include canoeing, riflery, archery, reptile study, snake ID, taxidermy, fishing, orienteering, and much more.  Campers will also have the opportunity to earn their hunter safety certification.     

Advanced Fur, Fish, and Game Rendezvous                                                July 10-15, 2011  -  Ages: 12-16                                                                             Fees: $345

Sorry, the Advanced Fur, Fish, and Game Rendezvous is full.                                                  Open to the first fifteen (15) respondents, this action packed camp is for youth that have successfully completed the Beginning Fur, Fish ‘N Game Camp or have already obtained their Hunter Safety Certification.  Campers will learn more in-depth and detailed information about prescribed burning, wildlife surveying, fish and wildlife population dynamics, dendrology, animal damage control and endangered species management.  If you think that you may be interested in a career in wildlife management, forestry or other natural resource fields…you will not want to miss this one!!

 4-H Horsemanship Camp                                                                                         June 19-25, 2011  - Ages: 9-19 - Fees: $365

Improve your horsemanship skills while having fun with other 4-H'ers.  Advanced riders can learn new and better horsemanship skills and showing techniques.  A highly qualified camp staff will introduce the beginning rider to the basics of horsemanship.  Special features of the camp include educational lectures, riding lessons, showmanship, judging contests, trail rides and training demonstrations.  Instruction will be given in hunt seat and western styles, with additional instruction in dressage, non-trotting or gaming if enough interest exists. Campers must supply his/her own horse, equipment, feed, and transportation.  The camp will provide sawdust for the stalls.
